DESCRIPTION :
The design of the auditorium Traianus was born with a clear and ambitious goal: to create a new part of town that was the social center of the neighborhood.
CONCEPT - Traianus The auditorium was designed with a large public space with a solution of continuity between interior and exterior space that sees the use of translucent materials such as glass and polycarbonate to characterize the envelope. The final morphology arises from the progressive sound transformations and deformations that the absolute shape of the hexagon, already used by the Romans in the definition of the nearby ancient port of Trajan (112d.C.).
PROGRAM - The structure is built around the great hall of audience, which is configured as a centralized hub for all other ancillary functions, which can accommodate 760 seats. In addition to distribution spaces, which are minimized privileggiando community spaces such as foyers and large balcony on the input, the structure has a large underground car park of about 3000sqm.
CONFERENCE ROOM - The volume of the room is at the same level of access plexus which is located on a podium and to which one ascends by a gentle ramp. The choice of creating a conference room performance as much as possible has been made possible by an accurate study of acoustics internal, through the use of a series of tubes absorbing melamine positioned along the walls, while maintaining maximum charge emphatic of the room.
